Ketsbaia
Xavi and Mourinho. But any out of Xavi, Iniesta, Messi, Villa and Sneijder could win it, even if that is a bit Barcelona heavy. Messi is still the best player in the world, but since when does that matter for this.....
Gash
Cesc and Arsene. Sneijder and van Marwijk, really.
Ronaldo
Also Lucio should probably be in there. Good point. Surely the best CB in the world this year? Don't let Ronaldo see that. Puyol for me, but Lucio runs him pretty close, as does Colo.

IceMag
Haha how could it not be Messi ffs? Agreed. Messi is by far the best player in the world and has been for some time now.

Colocho
Aye. Forgot him. Well, it would certainly be between the two imo.
Segun Oluwaniyi
Gyan should not be singled out. The single most ridiculous inclusion in that list is Miroslav Klose. Looks at what he achieved last season. Nothing. Gyan, at least, played very well for Rennes last season.

Nothing. Gyan, at least, played very well for Rennes last season. Apart from becoming only second to Ronaldo in scoring goals in World Cup finals he didn't do much. If Gyan is in there for his World Cup achievements then so should Klose. Not that I'm debating the ridiculous criteria for being selected like - it's a joke. Flip
Anyone saying anything other than Messi and Mourinho are just out of their minds. Iniesta, Maicon or Sneijder should be two of the top 3 with messi

Nobody
Hard to look past Sneijder IMO, he's been class this year and his team won the triple and he finished second in the world cup. Mourinho should get the manager one.
Village Idiot
Hope Xavi gets it, goddarn time a Spanish player wins this thing again. Last one was Suárez in 1961 which is utterly ridiculous

Colocho
Got 13 or 14 in the league I think, compared to Klose's 3.
midds
Got 13 or 14 in the league I think, compared to Klose's 3. Thought he only got a couple over the course of the season. 08/09 was better for him iirc. It's all fucking toss anyway. It's a ridiculous criteria based on catching the eye in important games. Neither Klose nor Gyan will be anywhere near the award but are merely rewarded for having a decent World Cup. Messi should walk it as the most talented player on the planet but I won't hold my breath.
Neil
Messi should walk it, yes, but I can see Sneijder getting it with him being instrumental in the treble. Messi and Mourinho, personally, but can see it being Wesley and Jose.
