I'm pretty sure Melbourne Heart's marquee player is a Dutchie called Rutger Worm - who has never done anything of note... And yes, each club is allowed two players outside the salary cap. Salary caps are (unfortunately) part of Australian sporting culture, but the powers that be know that without some "quality" players the shiny new league would have attendances even worse than the pitiful numbers we manage now...
