relámpago blanco
I'm so fucking happy today, all the shit mackems have gave me before this. Asking me if I thought we'd win I always said we are evenly matched and could go either waybutfuck. Come on
Doops
Carroll, Barton and Nolan for England! What about Shola? well, if Kevin Davies gets in I don't see why not! Thats the spirit!
Guest Bill Arfa
Who got MOTM? Had to be Barton, he ran the show today! Nolan was it for me today. f*** it. Team of the Match! Did Sky show the naked streaker bloke? No when was that Second half, Barton Free Kick on the Right side of the pitch. It was taking forever as the Ref was booking the last Mackem not to have been booked. Naked Streaker ran from the Gallowgate end, to the half way line, did a circle around Darren Bent and ran back the Gallowgate end. Did a circle around Bent how fitting
Amir_9
Just got back, my voice is gone. Joey Barton you are the love of my love, that is all. And My Love is Your Love, Whitney Houston. Life*
johnnypd
They've conceded 8 goals in total before today. think they only had 1 defeat in 8, or even unbeaten in 8 or something, before this match. they're not a bad side which simply makes this achievement even better. Guest ObiChrisKenobi
Got to say, the referee had a decent game. Other than the fact he was quite card-happy at times, thought he got the pen, the Shola 'offside' and the red card spot on. Mensah should have gone for the incident with Nolan in the box like. Not a chance, he was as erratic and inconsistant as the rest of the refs so far this season. He was card happy one moment, then bending over backwards the next to keep the players on the field (due to waving the cards around too easily to begin with). Booked Danny Simpson for a fantastic challenge, but allowed Phil Bardsley to smash into several players before telling him 'no more' and then booking him when he did it again. Allowed Shattermole to go head to head with him and didn't even book him for that. No respect for himself.
Incognito
Why didn't Dowd book Mensah for the Carroll foul? For what he had booked before,Mensah's foul was far worse.

Guest Heneage
They want to be thankful he didn't send more of them off tbh, both Turner and Mesnah walked a very fine line and should really have joined Bramble.
Pilko
Krul 6 Simpson 7 Coloccini 8 Williamson 8 Enrique 7 Barton 8.5 Nolan 9 Tiote 8 Gutierrez 7.5 Carroll 8 Ameobi 8.5 Subs: Ranger 6 Hughton 9 Dowd 7 (the Simpson booking was stupid but other than that, he was consistent)

You said he was decent, and it read like the only reason you thought that is because decision went our way. Overall he was just as bad as the rest of the them so far this season. Shouldn't allow decisions our way affect that.

What I liked best other than the scoreline was that we played as a team and look dangerous now with the two big lads up front and Barton delivering some great crosses. We might not beat the best but for the first time this season I really feel confident going into games with this 11.

Shouldn't allow decisions our way affect that. It has nowt to do with the fact they went our way. He got the decisions right - the decisions that shaped the game. He doesn't give the pen and Shola gets flagged as offside, and it's a very a different game.

Guest johnson293
Actually, sorry if tis been mentioned already, but I've just remembered that 'Lifelong magpie' Bruce was manager of Birmingham when they beat us 5-1 up here in the cup a few years ago, wasn't he?? Nice to give it back to him for that too!!
