It does say we pay the agents on the players behalf so yes. Say Gosling got £500k signing on fee and 20% of that is owed to the agent, we paid the agent direct. The club will pay a agent for the deal & will sometimes pay the agent as part of the deal on behalf of the player but the % per week is usually direct form the player. I seem to remember the agent concerned being on the radio at the time confirming the fact. Presumably the year probably starts 1st July so that might account for some of it. They did but these figures are form 01/10/2009. Of course the club may be paying some agents over the life of players contract while he is a Newcastle player.
