Who do you want as our next manager?

Who was the spanish guy that was linked just before they pushed Keegan? Is he currently employed? Would seem a typical Ashley thing to do bringing in a guy with no experience in the Premiership!

Marcelino

I have been reflecting, and if you think about it, we have been pleasantly surprised by Big Mikes transfer dealings (he exceeded our expectations in the summer window), so is there not a possibility that he might surprise us with the next manager, and again exceed our expectations?

Just a thought :dontknow: :help:

the problem is, as said, who ever comes in, the players are going to resent. so he needs to be of a huge level for the players to see the justification for chris leaving. therefore its not who we want, but who we need. and the ones we need, would not come, so i dont see any ending here where this is worth while. id love to think we could go for a venables, who would be respected and unite the boys. tbh, i see curbishley or kinner

Good call, however unlikely.

To be fair Keegan was completely out of the blue too and Kinnear. Lets be honest we could bloody appoint anyone from Dr Carlos Venglos to Ossie Ardilles.

Mad times we live in.

I'm with Dazza here, although I think most people would be when put up against brining in Pardew. Plus at least we know the books would be straight with Venables in charge. :iamatwat:

Jol would have been the best appointment and he's available which makes it more frustrating. Other than that, there's Owen Coyle and Di Matteo who have done well. Even Curbishley though a bit flaky, at least tries to play the right way.
