Anyone calling pardew after another decent performance really needs to check their heads.  Pardew had fuck all on the bench to play with, he changed it straight away after the sending off.

If your going to blame anyone blame Hughton for signing that piece of crap Perch.

Yeah! Lets all blame Chris Hughton for what has happened!

Well yes, we can certainly blame him for signing Perch.

I'd forgotten all about Perch tbh, it's hardly CH's fault that this mug has brought him back in.

Hasn't been overly impressive, but he has to learn the team first. He seems to have a general idea, but still has to learn what Chris knew, and that's going to take a bit and a few shit performances by shit players. Hopefully he learns from his mistakes and we see Barton back on the right and Alan Smith only when absolutely needed.

It wasnt Hughton who put his name on the team sheet today.

And which magical left-back could of we played today then....

And exactly what did spurs create.

He took of a winger and left two holding midfielders on when we were 1-0 down and they had just gone down to 10 men.

That's nothing to do with lack of options on the bench.

It was 2-0.

Yeah after 2 shocking pieces of defending 1 of which was a Hughton signing.

If we're stuck we could play other defenders in that position, instead of going with a player who is far from good enough. We are stuck for left backs but we still have plenty of defenders. Its a grim position to be in having to decide between a shite LB and putting another defender in unfamilar territory for one game, but with Perch we know he isnt good enough.

Also does any1 forget just 3 games ago we put in a shocking performance under Hughton at West Brom which was the worst I've seen at a live match and their wasn't even the 1/2 of the reaction of that performance than this.

Was a pretty poor game to be fair and last time I checked football was supposed to be entertaining. Was too much pumping it forward today. We really missed Enrique at the back to bring the ball out and interchange with Jonas down the left. Barton was desperately overdoing it, especially second half. Pardew has already hinted (in an interview the other day I can't be bothered to find) that he's aware of certain limitations but is wary of playing a particularly style some believe is suited to Carroll. In other words, he knows we're fairly clueless going forward in open play and doesn't want to rely on us hoofing it.

Actions speak louder than words. Personally if he threw Smith off the Tyne bridge, that'd be a step in the right direction.

Other than him being sacked...

Why are you blaming Hughton for signing Perch in this whole thing? Who was Hughton going to bring in with the 50 pence he had to play with?

Pardew had other options than playing Perch too.

Spurs created 2 goals, it doesn't really matter how we reacted to them. It's irrelevant who signed the player really, as he was selected by our current manager.

The way they all played today I'd say Smith and Tiote both looked more like scoring than Jonas though...

Well we didn't have a single midfielder on the bench, and we had to keep Smith/Tiote/Barton on to maintain a balance. Logical.

Besides that's irrelevant, fairly certain he substituted Jonas because he wasn't offering anything nor looking like he could.

Replace the winger with who exactly? Oh wait, we didn't have a single midfielder on the bench.

So yeah, he was limited.

It was hardly 'shocking' defending.  We got outclassed by better players.

With Hughton we knew he was capable of good results and good performances though. Hughton also had never managed before so he was very much learning his trade. Pardew however has managed before and is known to be shite. I think a lot of people look at todays game and think we are in for tripe like this every week.
