oldtype
Perch offered a backup option across the entire defense for two pence and a bag of crisps. It's not working out for him but I can see why he was signed.
Guest neesy111
If your going to blame anyone blame Hughton for signing that piece of crap Perch. It wasnt Hughton who put his name on the team sheet today. And which magical left-back could of we played today then....

Guest neesy111
Anyone calling pardew after another decent performance really needs to check their heads. Pardew had fuck all on the bench to play with, he changed it straight away after the sending off. If your going to blame anyone blame Hughton for signing that piece of crap Perch. A decent performance? WHAT THE FUCK? We created NOTHING, absolutely NOTHING in the whole 94 minutes..... aye pretty decent effort... Hmm, what fucking game were you watching idiot. I seem to remember a good few openings 1st half and 2nd half as well. And exactly what did spurs create.

He took of a winger and left two holding midfielders on when we were 1-0 down and they had just gone down to 10 men. That's nothing to do with lack of options on the bench. If we're stuck we could play other defenders in that position, instead of going with a player who is far from good enough. We are stuck for left backs but we still have plenty of defenders. Its a grim position to be in having to decide between a shite LB and putting another defender in unfamilar territory for one game, but with Perch we know he isnt good enough. Guest neesy111
Also does any1 forget just 3 games ago we put in a shocking performance under Hughton at West Brom which was the worst I've seen at a live match and their wasn't even the 1/2 of the reaction of that performance than this. thenige
Was a pretty poor game to be fair and last time I checked football was supposed to be entertaining. Was too much pumping it forward today. We really missed Enrique at the back to bring the ball out and interchange with Jonas down the left. Barton was desperately overdoing it, especially second half. Pardew has already hinted (in an interview the other day I can't be bothered to find) that he's aware of certain limitations but is wary of playing a particularly style some believe is suited to Carroll. In other words, he knows we're fairly clueless going forward in open play and doesn't want to rely on us hoofing it. Actions speak louder than words. Personally if he threw Smith off the Tyne bridge, that'd be a step in the right direction.

Who was Hughton going to bring in with the 50 pence he had to play with? Pardew had other options than playing Perch too.

It's irrelevant who signed the player really, as he was selected by our current manager.

Well we didn't have a single midfielder on the bench, and we had to keep Smith/Tiote/Barton on to maintain a balance. Logical. Besides that's irrelevant, fairly certain he substituted Jonas because he wasn't offering anything nor looking like he could. Replace the winger with who exactly? Oh wait, we didn't have a single midfielder on the bench. So yeah, he was limited.

With Hughton we knew he was capable of good results and good performances though. Hughton also had never managed before so he was very much learning his trade. Pardew however has managed before and is known to be shite. I think a lot of people look at todays game and think we are in for tripe like this every week. Dave
I don't understand the references to Hughton in some of these posts. We supposedly fucked Hughton off and brought Pardew in to be BETTER. Doing the same as or worse than Hughton isn't fucking good enough. This cunt needs to win us over because nobody wanted him.

Tell me what that useless argentinian twat did all game apart from not being to pass a ball 5 yards..... I'm sure fickle fans like you would of criticised pardew for not making any changes at all as well.
