AyeDubbleYoo
Does seem like we could have managed it better, but if Pieters ends up arriving before the end of the window it won't be a total disaster. We'll see.
Colocho
It doesn't matter if we sign quality players. The club is now on a stable financial footing, we've made a profit of around £25 million from player sales (including savings in wages) and we aren't going to be the next Leeds!!! Priorities, people...

Priorities, people... I thought we have brought in 12 million, from Rout (2) , Nolan (4) and Jose (6) and bought for about 7million, Cab (4), Obertan (3) everyone else free. Not sure about this Rob Elliot deal, can't have paid more than 1million, which may be offsetslightly by the loan fee and expected transfer fee for Forster. Andd that to the 35million from Carroll and what we looking at 40 million, that's a lot of money for agent fees

Come on Ian that wasn't what I said Ryan Taylor not getting skinned and costing us the match in one game is lucky, over 4 games would be incredible. Hopefully won't come to that for all of the games.

David28
Would it probably be better for Pardew to just come out and say "Sry guys, we won't sign any new players in this transfer window". ? I doubt that.
Guest hobshobs
Now he's gone public and said that Shola will start on Saturday. Yet if a player does that on Twitter he's in trouble. This club is so amateurish it beggars belief.
TRon
Their greed to get the maximum for Enrique has meant they've now painted themselves into a corner. They've got no-one to blame but themselves. Yeah but there's a global recession on, and we've got to live within our means, Enrique might have stayed despite Pardew saying he was defintely going, just look at Portsmouth and Leeds because that's what we'll be like if we spend any money, financial fair play....erm...Tenko's not on telly anymore, they've banned xmas, it's all Keegan's fault etc. ouch! the irony...the sheer bitterness. Outstanding.

Yes, Ashley and that are a nightmare to work for - just stop with the false fucking promises man, Alan. Even with the low standards Pardew has set, I'll be disappointed if he either puts Lovenkrands on the bench ahead of Vuckic or fails to start Ferguson at LB. I'm sure they don't tell him to set these little mini-deadlines that never come to fruition.
Guest sicko2ndbest
Fools Last week!!!!!!! Pards on LB:“The process started just about this time last week.Clubs know we are in need of a left back and they make it difficult."
Si
Thinking about it makes you wonder if he's trying to tie the clubs hands a bit, saying "we'll have a LB by the Sunderland game" to the press to put pressure on Jabba.

This club is so amateurish it beggars belief. To be fair it's not that big shocking news that he starts. Many clubs give the odd hint on their starting XI pre-match. It would be more interesting for Sunderland if some players like Simpson or Barton would tweet they wouldn't play a day before the match (like Enrique did last season). Guest BooBoo
Basically NUFC.com nailed it when they said he should just stop talking. Nothing he comes out with is credible or even relevant. I get it that he's trying to keep spirits up with promises of good news, but he hasn't got the muscle to back up his mouth and it weakens him every time. Lose on Saturday and he might as well resign. Guest BooBoo
Only Bobby has bounced back as a manger. It was the end for Gullit and Kinnear immediately lost any small amount of goodwill he'd built up. It's not a game that any NUFC boss can afford to lose.
