Smith upfront might not be as bad as people think, people say he's shit (and rightfully so) for his performances as a DM. As a striker he was decent, although that was about 5 years ago. So we will see. Hopefully he will have a good game, and never play in midfield ever again.

He's already played upfront for us and was utterly useless.  End of.

I'd sooner see Smith upfront than in centre midfield, that way he'll do less damage to our play. Who knows, he might even get lucky.

 

I agree that Ranger should be starting though. If he starts Smith up top, it's a bonkers decision unless Smith scores.

Logically, it should be Ranger playing but its worrying that Smith is being talked about. Luckily, the rest of the side are good and solid, maybe it'll just take a set piece goal to win it. Not hopeful though.
