Josip Simunic can leave Hoffenheim on free.

At the end of the 2008–09 season, Šimunić was named the best central defender in the Bundesliga by Kicker magazine.

Sounds like he could be decent backup, although he'd have to be on reasonable wages (assuming he'll come). Wouldn't want Sol Campbell MkII.

He is not Sol Campbell MkII.

I watched France - Croatia and he was very good  against Benzema and Menez.

He is on a 25k/week.

Ezequiel Garay is basically being pushed out of Real Madrid. Only 24, would be a good signing. Unrealistic?

He's on Sevilla's shortlist of 7 centre-backs along with Coloccini. Let him go there and us keep Colo.

Or we stick a wig on Smith sell him as Collocini for a paltry fee and bring in the now unchased Garay

Had to check and make sure that was theJosip Simunic. He'd be absolutely diabolical in the Premiership. He's pretty shit anyway and was slow beyond belief at the WC'06. Didn't realise he was so young, thought he'd long retired.

Re: Garay, can't see him moving over here or us being able to want to pay his wages/fee.

Where has anyone said the Judas cunt can leave on a free? I knew he was out of favour but his still starting for Croatia and you can only assume worth a fee maybe to a Russian or Croatian team.

skysports.com reckon Bayern Munich are interested in Dale Jennings. He's in the last year of his contract so I'd hope we're sniffing around him too. Apparently Tranmere have knocked back offers of around £500k so far but I can't imagine him going for too much more than that.

looks like we being made to wait for erding. hope to make progress for n'zogbia soon. and also bit of a wild card harmeet singh. plays for norway u21s. looks quick, good footwork but a bit shot shy and that shows in his stats. a real prospect in my opinion though

Nosa isn't Norwegian, though.

And Fellah is hardly "young" anymore, he'll not improve much beyond his current level of talent. Henriksen has the potential to become good, but Rosenborg are ruining him completely playing him as a DM these days. To think just a year or two ago I was extremely optimistic about the future of Norwegian football... :harry:
