I was thinking about him a few days ago but i thought he would be way out of our league, im not sure but i think the article said that his contract ends up in 2012. They bought him for around 8M, worth a cheeky bid around 6M perhaps? Bargain! Problem is, which striker can you bring in that is going to be good enough and physical enough to play upfront on his own in the premiership? much easier to bring in 2 strikers to play alongside each other. That's a good question, been thinkin this myself so i took the easy option and just wrote "new cf" I like this system, and it's easier to find a quality player who can play in the role behind the striker between the oppositions defense and midfield like Ménez for example than it is to find a central AM who is good enough to play in a 4-4-2 in the premier league when you have to be quite strong defensively as welll unless you're willing to be weak in central midfield, many times it's either good offensively or the other way around, unless you have a shit load of money and are attractive enough as a club. If we could find the right CF and buy players like Menéz and Payet im sure we could have a very good season with some luck, at least potentially a very very good team that could also play beautiful football.
