Stifler
For the record though, isn't usually about now when Dowie shows his face? Ian Dowie, Mr Romantic, to be appointed a week tomorrow? :dowie: :dowie: :dowie: :dowie: :dowie: :dowie: I'd be putting money on it.
Guest johnson293
Placed on gardening leave according to BBC. Strange one. Thats a way to say he's still on the books, but he doesn't get paid, but they are waiting for him to quit so they don't have to pay him any money. It's a strange one, they did start off well and haven't really gained any sort of consistent form, but still it's a strange one. i would have thought that they would have been fairly happy that they are not in the relegation zone and stand a chance of staying up. I thought on 'Gardening Leave' you were still paid... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Garden_leave

By sacking him And the fact you're suggesting that means at least one other person in this thread accepts the basic premise that Di Matteo hasn't actually been sacked yet. wormy
Think it's a good move. Can't remember when they havn't stuck with a manager in their relegation seasons, apart from Megson but that was because he wouldn't sign on for further years, wasn't it? Could do with a bit of a shake up rather than the sticking with the same guy route. It wasn't working, I think the beginning of the season buzz has worn off, and they could do with freshening up to try and stop this yo-yo club reference. Incognito
He's been relieved of his duties but is still getting his salary from them is what is going on. Looks like they can't mutually agree a remuneration settlement to me.

wormy
Hughton to takeover. I'd hate to see him takeover a relegation battler. We'd probably do a full capitulation and his team would beat us to 17th on the last day, knowing this club.

Stifler
McClaren sacked at Wolfsburg and is 33s at the minute at William Hills. I would hate to see him come back to English football. He's just as bad as Wenger for moaning and complaining, not to mention the games that have been called off for other reasons whenever he has someone injured. He's the sort of guy who if his team parked the team coach on the goal line he would still come out and say that his team was by far the better team and worthy of a win or at least a draw. QBG
This lot are in absolute freefall, they have some big games coming up and if they don't get a new man in soon they'll be in massive trouble. The last game of the season is against us at SJP, could be a potential last day survival game for them and hopefully not us. After Saturday I don't think many teams would relish going to SJP to try and save your Premier League status.

Ketsbaia
They have a virtually unopposed choice of manager. No other big jobs in this country so they've got Allardyce, Jol, McClaren and Hodgson to pick from. All of whom are arguably bigger than West Brom.
