After the season Arteta just had a move would probably suit both player & club tbh. He's also got a young son now. Can't see Bilbao being able to pay a high enough transfer fee though? Cole's failure to agree terms has left West Ham as well as Stoke disappointed. West Ham are keen to off-load players to reduce their wage bill and free up funds to add to their own squad. Tony Pulis, meanwhile, will be forced to turn his attention elsewhere in his pursuit of a striker. The Stoke manager has already had a bid rejected for the Birmingham City forward Cameron Jerome. We could have easily been in talks with other strikers and not thinking about Carlton Cole though. We made bids for strikers who turned us down, then we chase Erding who is unlikely to come, now Carlton Cole's deal has collapsed we are possibly turning to him. So you are saying just because we didn't bid for him we are not interested? There is a while to go in the transfer market and Carlton Cole will be well down the list of possible striker options.
