Neil
Bakayoko was mint on CM. Was that the version where you could only play England, Spain and for some reason the Dutch league? And Fortuna Sittard and Compostela were both inexplicably good teams?

Think I had one where you could only play the English and Scottish top flight. 94/95?

1878
Matteo Ferrari ffs. Goes alongside Alex Nyarko in our Hall of Fame. Eh? Ferrari only came on loan & hardly played but when called on he mostly did well. IIRC he had one bad game on his debut away to Arsenal, played out of position at full back. We've had shitloads of players worse than him since the 90's.

Guest Tyson
Man.U and Chelsea both linked to Axel Witsel, another Belgian wonderkid. 20m fee mentioned. Sporting, Porto, and Benfica are expensive sellers - that figure seems about right. Admittedly Witsel & Hazard are different style of players, but it would be interesting to compare the respective impacts of two such highly touted youngsters, if Witsel follows in Hazard's footsteps with a move. As a side point the EPL is loaded with a sizeable chunk of Belgium's Golden Generation.

Hope he comes to the Prem. 1st touch & close-control (under physical pressure) is world class. And if you watch his combination play with both Hazard & Fellaini (at int.level) the football brain is there, to match the athleticism & technical quality. He's somebody who has the nous to strike-up an understanding with Man.U's Japanese chap. Massive potential, similar to Kompany when he first arrived from Belgium, in terms of potential. Kompany has matured into one of the great & complete centrehalves in Europe. This kid is a midfield version of Kompany (when he first arrived at City), as a pure football package. If he matures, the sky is the limit - could be the next Y.Toure ie. a dominant, balanced CM. Would be a massive & long-term upgrade to Manyoo's central midfield, re: their much needed rebuild. And i feel Man.U has one more big signing in them this Summer, a CM - either Tiote, or a rawer prospect like Witsel.
