Guest palnese
For the right price Carroll could be a good option for us, but are Liverpool really going to want to sell him back to us for a cut price? I guess it depends how desperate they are to sell him. Their finances aren't the best, are they? I think he'll cost less than 10m.
Skeletor
Wouldn't mind Carroll back on the cheap and as a squad player but if he came back he'd become a starter and he'd be far too expensive.
Deuce
Think he'll come back sooner rather than later. Think it'll be good for us, too. Wouldn't surprise me to see him back. Also wouldn't surprise me if he revived his career here.
Dinho lad
I'm not particularly against bringing him on the cheap... but... bring back Carroll and the long balls will never ever disappear.
SEMTEX
"On the cheap" is never going to be that cheap though. Looking at his performances over his career, and ignoring his previous sale price, I would be hard pressed to say he's worth anything beyond.. 5m? I think he can be a positive addition to our squad, but only for the right price and only if he's a complementary player.

I think it's more to do with their pride and not wanting to accept a small fee from us; I swear there was something said to that effect when we were rumoured to be back in for him at the start of this season. Tiresias
I don't want him back, I don't want the media circus of his off the pitch 'antics', I don't want us playing hoofball to him in the box, and I don't think it's certain he'd regain any sort of form just cos he was playing for us. I am terrified of Pardew using him to justify returning to more longballs into the box, and I think money that we'd spend on him would be far better spent on strikers that are going to be more all round useful than someone who specialises in converting crosses we're really shit at providing. Dokko
No one will stump up a fee that'll seem reasonable to Liverpool, they certainly won't get double figures for him. With that it may be the case he's going out on loan again, save wages and bring in a small fee for the privilege. Be quite funny if that's his entire Liverpool career, one big loan move till 2016. I'd personally have him back here if we're not getting rid of Pardew. Give a workman the right tools, give Pardew his hammer.

If we sign him it will be a pretty damning indication of what Pardew's footballing philosophy amounts to. Don't believe we would sign him to sit on the bench or to be our 'Ameobi option' () either. Guest Miguel Piñero
The joy of seeing Carroll receive ludicrous amounts of praise for any involvement in any victory because he 'made a nuisance of himself, got amongst defenders, and drew defenders away' while the actual matchwinners slip away unnoticed.... Ronaldo
If signing Carroll is conducive to matchwinners going unnoticed I'm all for it.
Dr Venkman
It's difficult, I'm all for Pardew being given players he's comfortable with, but I just don't want Carroll back. He was absolutely fucking atrocious playing for West Ham up here. We must be able to (in fact I'm positive we are) find a different player that will suit Pardew, with less baggage. Ste
Fancied a move for Carroll last summer, but I am confident now there is a better, cheaper option abroad.
Disco
Think my main concern, aside from not wanting him back, RE: Carroll would be that he'll likely take up pretty more all of our spending on fees/wages.
Guest JS
He's had some s*** experiences and some tricky injuries since he left us a few years ago. Mind, I still get the feeling he'll end up back here in some capacity. Would you rather have Shola on the pitch or Carroll? I'd be OK with that happening provided the fee / wages were low, he'd have to build his bridges back up with the team / supporters after the diving, Taylor incident and the s*** caused when he's been out and about. I don't think he'd end up here and waltz straight back into the first team like nothing ever happened. Would have to be the ground up again for me

Oakie Doke
well I think I've already used the term the "Summer of Carrs" in another thread, which I think nicely sums up what I want to happen in the transfer window. I want to see the loan signing of Andy Carroll, the permanent signing of Michael Carrick for £7.4m and the return of Stephen Carr.
Ste
I don't think Ameobi should be used as a comparative when signing another striker. Would like to see us try and improve on Cisse as this season has been a disappointment for him. His place in the team shouldn't be as certain next season.
