I suspect dealing with South American clubs (even well run ones like Velez), players and agents comes with a myriad of problems too. Unless he's stalling to try and get a move to Italy/Spain. Ki, Britton, Betis lads 1 & 2, Shelvey, De Guzman, Michu, etc. That's some mad squad depth in central midfield for a club on a relatively modest budget (albeit a fantastically well run one).
