Basically Lille have accepted that he's leaving to join us.

Is the conclusion that concrete? Me French isn't good enough for that kind of subtlety.

Its along those lines. I'll have a look see if I can find the original L'Equipe article that its come from. Need to book up on my French anyway as I'm going to Paris at some pooint this summer.

Never mind that, you need it to live in Newcastle these days.

I would be more than happy to sign both Gervinho and Piatti. Why not get both? The latter won't be expensive anyway, surely a bargain!

I think it says that they are replacing Gervinho with Piatti? Not that they are options for us.

Yup, but why not? Unless Lille would not approve the deal before they sign Piatti.

There is nothing concrete in the article,  just seems to be them speculating that he's chosen us, or maybe his decision has been leaked.

I remember when Wikipedia first got popular and everyone took the edits as gospel. The current trend of wankers on Twitter making things up is just the latest version of the same thing, thinking about it.

Le Figaro which is one of the biggest newspapers in France say Gervinho wants to join us. (3rd article on Google News France when you search Newcastle and 'Tri Par Date'.
