Fenham Mag
Don't think it's anything to worry about, he's still training. Skysports have just decided to go with a scare story for Newcastle fans, no mention of the derby from anyone.

Aye i thought that as well, having said that the amount of injuries caused by international breaks this season already is getting a bit ridiculous tbh. The College Dropout
Could have worked either way though. Given that we had Ferguson and Santon on their stronger sides (only in terms of crossing), we could easily have broken at pace down the wings and crossed in a few for goals. The problem was that we started too slowly early on. We really have been good at defending set pieces in the last year or so. If that had worked out yesterday, maybe it'd have been Man Utd making the formation changes trying to keep up with our game instead of us putting 5 in the middle. We launch the ball from Harper, they win it in the aerial duel with the strikers and they go from their. Possession was 80-20 in the first 20. They got the ball and just ran rings around us. Our wide players out of the game. You have to compete in the middle of the pitch by all means.
Away Toon
Sorry can't be bothered to translate it but basically the Spanish especially Del Bosque are saying that Cabaye is the most talented midfielder the French have, he takes the free kicks, he directs the game, he's a little bit their Xavi.
timeEd32
I think Cabaye is an excellent player and is being largely misused. However, his set pieces, which are free from excuses about formations, positions, etc., have been absolute garbage all season.
Ronaldo
And virtually all of last season.
alpal78
And virtually all of last season. Tosh generalization. His corners and most of his indirect freekicks are mostly garbage. But his direct freekicks are usually good.

Away Toon
He's currently part of the French team watching the Spanish keep the ball and run rings around them. No goals yet though, Spain are looking for perfection first.

Away Toon
1-0 Ramos who hit the post first with a free header, put his hands on his head and then just in time watched the ball ricochet to him before he thumped it in from around 6 yards, nearly went over the top. Mole_Toonfan
Deschamps reminds me of Souness in so many ways. He's an absolute c*nt, thinks hes big man to discipline players for no reason, holds grudges against anyone and everyone, doesn't have a clue tactically etc etc.
NEEJ
Wish I could tell Deschamps how much of a prick he appears to be to his face. I've a feeling it would be immensely satisfying.

alpal78
So you agree, then. Eh I don't agree with your point. You were continuing the point made by timeEd32 that "his set pieces, which are free from excuses about formations, positions, etc., have been absolute garbage all season" by exteding it to virtually all of last season too. My point was that his direct freekicks have been good and over generalizing that his set pieces are absolutely garbage is rubbish.

Wullie
His corners really aren't that bad. We have absolutely no aerial threat and it doesn't matter how good the delivery is from a corner, if none of your players can beat the centre half to the ball, forget it. Flip
Im a big Cabaye fan and defend him constantly. But his corner aren't very good Wullie. Rarely beats the first man, and when they do its those floating ones which the goalkeeper has full control over.
