First time I've seen him today, so can't really say too much, but looks like a deep lying playmaking CM. Would work really well alongside Tiote in a 4-2-3-1, for example, with Tiote being the ball winning midfielder and Cabaye the playmaker from deep. Does exactly what someone playing next to Tiote needs to be doing. Add to that the fact that he scored 15 goals last season and I say we're on to a very, very good signing here.
