Stifler
Anita brings in a decent corner in my opinion, Cabaye's corners have been poor for at least a year now, either change whats he's doing or give the duty to someone else.
Hughesy
Hmmm bit rose tinted... I also remember the roll-eyes when we'd get a freekick that was begging to be slung across the box or even played short thanks to being 48 miles from goal and over on the wing, and you just knew he'd probably pelt it at goal Yup when Robert was here, many (not me) were complaining on his corners and free kicks when they don't work out. Now that we don't have him or someone with his ability, people are saying how good they were. I had no problems with him taking on those shots, because when it did worked, it was a thing of beauty and that's what football is about, having memorable moments. Hate it when we just lump the ball with no direction from a corner and just hoping someone would attack it. Since we don't train (enough) on set pieces, everyone just stand around when a corner is taken. The weird thing is that Pardew acknowledged that this was one of our weaknesses and yet has done nothing to address it, which suggest to me that he has no clue on what needs to be done! I almost think Robert's tactic of smacking it from 40 yards or whatever when the free kick was in a central area of the pitch made more sense than trying to create an angle and corss it (despite having some great players in the air at that point). If you've got a wall and a crowded box, the keeper is unsighted, the ball might get a deflection and fall to one of your players or go in.

ATB
Maybe he also should stick some players in the box and try to hit them.

joeyt
Marveaux takes a decent corner. Shame he's rarely on to take one though. Even Jonas takes better corners than YoCabs

Guest palnese
I really can't understand why a player of his quality can't put in a corner that beats the first man.

I can't understand why he takes them when its quite obvious he's terrible at them. that aside i adore the man

Skeletor
Don't know about in the Premiership but Juninho Pernambucano used to score them like penalties.
STM
Our shitness at set pieces isn't down to the people taking them, not that they are particularly good either mind.
Eddy Chibas
Has there been a betterrr dead ball specialist in the PL than Robert?... I can't think of one... I'm not sure what his return was (from fks) at Forest, but Pierre van Hooijdonk's shooting range from set-pieces was outrageous. Pure ball-striker, like Robert, whether it was the power/driven effort or a curler just outside the box.
