Demba Ba (now retired)

He hated playing there as Cisse got all the glory but Ba had plenty of chances to score in fact he missed some sitters but he had great ability at putting accurate balls into the box.

Pardew MUST go back to what worked, yes one of them will be unhappy but Cisse is here and Ba left so get him on the left if he returns on loan, end of the day its still playing football unlike he is doing at Chelski.

He worked well on the left - it was Cisse that didn't.

Agreed. I'm sure he'd sooner play on the left here than not at all at Chelsea.

Or he could go to any number of other clubs and play as starting striker. West Ham, West brom etc.

The pure SEX of that first half at The Hawthorns. :sweetjesus:

Aye it was class. The fact they played brilliantly as a front 3 was enough and then Hatem NEARLY did it all himself on a couple of occasions

You have to cut your cloth & that 433/ counter attack worked perfectly.  A perfect storm of football. Footballstorm.

Everyone saying Ba should play on the left so Cisse can play in the middle is getting blocked. Ridiculous.

It's not, like. Ba is a great finisher, but he's also great at creating situations. We've been crying out for a striker to link up with our current striker. We have Remy, yes, but we can also have Ba. We can also have options, which would be nice, and play different players at different times. Imagine that.

Ba, Cisse, HBA worked fucking fantastically well. Best strike force we've had in a very long time, I'd have it back in a heartbeat if it worked again. Anyone with an agenda against Cisse that denies this is getting blocked. Ridiculous.

Cisse has no place in the starting 11 until he sorts his fucking head and starts to take responsibility on the field. Been saying it since last year's pre-season.  Tiote is in a similar situation. They are playing within themselves, every other decision they make on the pitch is brainless.. You can get away with this if you're a winger but if you're leading the line or you're meant to play as an anchor man such complacency is suicidal for the team.

Ba is an intelligent player and Cisse is an instinct player who needs a player like Ba to bring out the best in him.

If we sign Gpmis and Ba Pardew will be in a spin he won't know what to do, who to play and where will give him nightmares until we end up with

Having said that we need Ba's goals, and they will certainly be handy.

However we will likely be a clumsy mess that just scrape results due to Ba's brilliance. Not that encouraging really.

Oh well ... better than being relegated I guess.
