Interpolic
Please release a club statement questioning why Marveaux would want to go to a club like Montpellier. Do something right for once.

Ah, definitely this.  Though it might piss Cabella off a bit since it's his club.

joeyt
Get French Football News can confirm ML Actu reports that talks over Sylvain Marveaux’s potential loan move from Newcastle to Montpellier are advanced. Both clubs have agreed to a loan in principle, but the wages remains the sticking point.  Newcastle want Montpellier to pay the full portion of Sylvain Marveaux’s wages, whereas MHSC are opposed to this.  That is where the sticking point currently lies. Whether or not that can be resolved, we shall soon see.

sixx
Don't see the point in loaning him out unless he's on huge wages.

SEMTEX
@MsiDouglas: Marveaux the first of the #nufc outcasts to leave. Shame his talent was never really utilised.
SEMTEX
@RBairner: #Newcastle's Sylvain #Marveaux will join #Guingamp on loan. If he can stay fit, he'll be a fine addition. #NUFC

Foluwashola
The fact it's teams like Guingamp in for him says a lot. Showed one or two glimpses of possessing some talent but clearly a bit of a waster. Ta ra.

People say things like that a lot, but what does it actually mean in comparison to saying that teams like Liverpool were in for him before he came to us? Â Regardless of anything else, when he played for us I liked him a lot, even with his faults.

Lotus
He never showed much if we're honest. Â IFFFFFFF, getting him off the wage bill frees up some space for a CB i'd be well happy.
Guest firetotheworks
I would argue that when he was played he showed, not just enough, but actually quite a lot. He's never, ever a Pardew player though, so I guess it's sort of irrelevant either way.
