Fabricio Coloccini (now retired)

The sad thing is I can see it happening. Simply because they'll throw a load of money at him and in football today that's what counts sadly. Add to the fact we have an owner who is constantly thinking of ways to make/save money by shifting players off big contracts and selling them. You'd have to hope that the fact we're doing really well, Liverpool hardly setting the world alight, he enjoys living in the NE with his family settled and if the club can reward him with a proper contract then that should be enough to keep him.

Liverpool are really starting to boil my p*ss though, can't f***ing stand them.

As much as papers talk bollocks, it wouldn't surprise me. Was surprised when it looked like he was staying, as giving him a contract that would end with no resale value and while he's still able to command a good fee goes completely against the Ashley model. Liverpool are the kind of team who would over-pay for him as well. Decided against getting a Colo shirt even after that interview with him because I could see it happening even then. And, after all, it's been a while since Mike has done something fucking stupid.

He was prepared to do the same with Barton & Nolan til things happened and laterly with Jonas/Ameobi. But yeah its completely against everything he has done.

Can't see this one happening.

Aside from Colo himself saying he's happy and settled here (how many players have we heard say similar over the years then move on soon after), I can't see why not. He's on big money, approaching 30, hasn't yet signed the new contract apparently on the table, his friend Jose is already there and they desperately need to upgrade from Carragher...

Hopefully a load of bollocks and the source is very dodgy, but until he signs that new deal with us then very little would surprise me. Not going to worry about it like.

agree with this, apart from the bit about not worrying.

i know its a shit article and could very well be a load of bollocks, but whats worrying me is his contract situation

Yeah, till 'things' happened. I imagine that if Colo goes, we'll offer him a contract and a thing will happen.

Jonas signing a new contract radically changes the dynamic imo.

Why are they letting this happen again? This time last year, when things were going well, we should have offered Enrique a new contract. Even if he wanted to leave in the summer, we would have got a lot more than six bloody million for him.

Colo is our best player, our captain - hand him a three-year deal with the wages he is on at the moment and be done with it.

Things like Barton deciding to delay talks and Nolan wanting longer arent problems where Colo is concerned imo

Wasnt it this time when Enrique started saying 'wait til we are safe'? Nowt much you can do when the player doesnt want to sit down and discuss it.

This story initially came from caught offside. Caught Offside = Complete and Utter Bullshit that somehow gets picked up by the BBC Gossip Column. Nowt to worry about.

Yeah, except it didn't. Have a look at the Mirror link.

Seems like he wanted to be newcastle manager again not liverpools the way he's collecting our players. Would be fucking ridiculous if it happened but i don't believe it will personally

The cunt almost destroyed the team when he was in charge and looks like he's trying to finish the job off a decade and a half later.  Hate him and the fucking bin dippers since he came back with all of thier sudden views that he should be knighted, sainted or whatever.

Can't wait till Liverpool uncover the gem that is Colo.

Colo + Raylor for Carroll.

What you on about? That would be a incredibly stupid deal.
