What makes you think that it is? that blog suggest it's been ongoing for a while, even before he extended his contract, so doubt it's to do with serious ilness. Credit probably needs to go to the club's media and PR people for convincing the, hardly moral, British media to keep this all hushed up. We're obviously trying to tread as carefully as possible with the situation, so as not to upset Colo further. Europa League aside, this season is now all about doing everything to stay up. If that is achieved (basically six wins), the rest of the games are largely meaningless. If it were a life and death thing, Colo would be crazy not to leak that to the press, it would paint the club as the evil oppressor if they didn't let him walk. Legally it's perfectly in Colo's hands, he can retire from football, pretty sure that option is always available to him. If all it is, is that his wife isn't happy living in Newcastle, I'm sorry but that's not a big enough reason for the club to right of millions of pounds and further weaken our team during this critical period.
