This was the Barca's lineup.

    Víctor Valdés,

    Eric Abidal (Maxwell, 81),

    Dani Alves,

    Francesc Fábregas (Seydou Keita, 72),

    Javier Mascherano,

    Thiago Alcántara,

    Sergio Busquets (Gerard Piqué, 54),

    Xavi,

    Pedro,

    David Villa,

    Lionel Messi

ALL their flair attackers except Iniesta are playing. Their midfielders - xavi, fabregas, thiago, busquests.

Did barca like, completely totally annihilate atletico's midfield ?

I think it's worth pointing out Barca have now destroyed Atletico and Villarreal 5-0.

These are 2 sides who would wipe the floor with the majority of the Premier League. Another demonstration of Barca's unerring brilliance.

Barca game was incredibly boring. Just too easy.

Looking forward to the two La Liga games tonight on sky sports (loving this sky sports free pass weekend!). Malaga have a hilariously nostalgic team. Van Nistelrooy, Baptista and some FM former-wonderkids

Watched a couple of games over the weekend. Two 0-0's. Teams couldn't give a fuck whether they won or lost by the looks of it. I seen a total of 3 shots. This was the night after seeing Barca destroy a supposedly good team.

Not impressed, don't understand the folk who say it's better than the prem.

Attendances for most teams are way low so far, the recession most probably, but the new kick off times imposed by the TV rights holder are pretty awful too

A lot of teams are being way too conservative indeed, but there's been lots of good games this season. Real Madrid - Rayo was actually quite close for most of the game and quite exciting despite the final scoreline. Valencia - Barça was an absolute cracker last week and could have gone either way.

They want the least amount of games possible being played at the same time, to maximise TV viewers, so they have created more kickoff times throughout the weekend, instead of having the bulk of games being played Saturday/Monday at 5/6pm as it has always been. Also they want to place more games in "Asia-friendly" time slots. It sucks a lot for people going to the stadiums, since they don't really blend well with our routines and weather (games at noon in August/early September are a terrible idea).

What's going on at Levante.  :kasper:

Unbeaten all season, won their last 4 including beating Madrid and now away to Betis to put them temporarily top of the league.

Made quite a few good signings though they will struggle once they all finish their loans. Work well as a team. A lot like Newcastle last season pre January with nicer football tbh.

Levante have all my sympathies since they do what they can, but their football isn't certainly "nice". They have kicked their way to the top so far.

I remember reading they have a transfer budget way lower than ours (depend on frees and loan deals mostly)  and a salary cap of €300000 per year for each player...good to see them doing well considering...
