Is RVP definitely fit to start?

Everybody seems to think he's out but I, personally, think he'll play. We'll know more tomorrow I suppose midday when Mr Wenger does his press conference.

That was pretty much what I thought. I was under the impression that his injury was just a slight knock and that he'd be available for the start of the season, but had been hearing it was more serious since then so wasn't sure.

Near enough guaranteed he'll score if he starts though.

On second thought, would take the Premier League postponing all of the opening matches just so we could.. you know, play with an actual left back.

Would rather play with 10 men (or Alan Smith in the starting XI) than postponing it.

I'd welcome a postponement in our current state.

:nope:

:sadnod:

Why??

So we actually have a left back, to start with.

Ok, and I ask you this - if this game was postponed for 3 weeks, who do you think will have strengthened more in that time period? NUFC or AFC, having lost Cesc & Nasri.

I just think we're more likely to get dicked with Raylor or Perch playing. Having a proper team out is usually the best way to approach things.

Wayne Bridge vs Jadson, Dann and Mata

They will strengthen more than us. Therefore, we are more likely to lose. It's not hard.

This just typifies the ultra pessemistic attitude on here like

I agree we're better off playing the game now then postponing it though.

I'm confident in the rest of our team. Pieters may turn out to be good.

But I'm a negative bastard anyway so
