BottledDog
Goddamnit, we're juggling shitloads of potential transfers at the moment. One final push lads, one final push.
Sifu
Sooo, we're getting both Cissokho and Pieters?
Guest
Aye just seen the article there. He's having talks with the Lyon President on Monday to discuss his departure. Surely we're not getting him AND Pieters?

Frazzle
No way we'll get both. Would be mental anyway having Cissokho and Pieters as left backs and Simpson and Perch on the other side.
Kasper
This is how its going to happen: "We showed great ambition by going after, not one, but two great left backs. Sadly neither of them wanted to be second choice so we ended up with neither."
Guest palnese
Pardew has said that we can't afford to have two "first team" left backs at the club.
Guest BlacknWhiteArmy
Could we play one of them on the wing or something?
Guest
Could we play one of them on the wing or something? I was thinking a couple of days ago maybe he's thinking Cissokho for the left-midfield spot similar to how Robson used Domi and occasionally Bernard. taxfree
Could we play one of them on the wing or something? Not really.

taxfree
Can one of them play RB? No. That's where Santon comes in the picture

taxfree
Pieters is the cheaper safe option. Cissokho is the more expensive, better one we're haggling over.
Guest Geordiesned
We probably could tie up either of them no problem but probably will fuck it up and end up with neither!
Joe_F
For what it's worth, Caulkin says the left back situation is confusing... As of last night we were hopeful of having Pieters in by Sunday, but NUFC representatives have been talking to Cissokho's people today. Knowing this lot they've probably shook hands on a deal with Pieters but gone back to Lyon with one last try to get Cissokho before sealing it. jdckelly
or Ashleys going to spite Barton and go on a spending spree now that he's left and we get both of them as well as a Barton replacement and a top class striker............. yeah not likely is it
Wallace
Both players want to come here and have probably been unsettled by our interest. We seem to be playing them off against each other rather than concentrating on the one we want and making discrete enquiries on the other as a back up plan. The way we have been conducting my transfer business lately is baffling.

This is what I think too. We could and should have had someone in by now, it's dragging to try and get the cheapest. I just hope it doesn't back fire. James
It will get to the point where they are sat next to each other at the contract signing table and Llambias does eeny meeny miny mo, handing the winner a contract, and the loser a picture of
James
If Cissokho failed his AC Milan medical, maybe we are looking to have a plan b in case he does
