Disco Posted August 20, 2011 Share Posted August 20, 2011 Krul - 8 couple of smart saves and commanding throughout Simpson 6 - did ok Coloccini 7 - didn't think he was at his best in the 1st but grew as game went on S.Taylor 7 - solid enough R.Taylor 6 - shaky at the back but what a GOLAZO Obertan 6 - in and out but largely unspectacular Barton 7 - tidy on the ball Cabaye 7 - as above and good to see he's not afraid to mix it either Tiote 6 - one of his poorer performances Jonas 8 - great outlet and looked a threat all game, good covering too Ameobi 6 - feeding off scraps for large parts but a decent shift none the less ---- Williamson 7 - did well Gosling 6 - should have scored Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

I didn't imagine us winning but Colo, Jonas and Krul were exceptional. Obertan and Cabaye promising too. That handball was as blatant as you'll ever see and it would've been a game changer, but we won anyway Cattermole is a fucking dirty inbred thug, mind. Toon toon, Black n White army! afar Posted August 20, 2011 Share Posted August 20, 2011 Just finished watching it, couldn't get myself out of bed at 5am to watch it live. Thought we were bloody awful tbh, still able to win though. Thought Colo and Tiote had strinkers !! Mackems on their on patch really needed to offer more, there were terribad in front of goal especially. How the hell Webb missed the penalty and sending off is shocking, again he cheats us like he did in the relegation season with Viduka's perfectly good goal ruled out, thankfully in the end it didn't cost us like it did at the end of that season. WTF? Colo was immense. Go back to bed you..... FFS, I love Colo, think he's the best CB we've had in a toon shirt since the lad we brought in from Leeds and sold to Madrid. However today he was poor, couldn't keep his feet and not strong enough in the challenge. Watch the game again, there was one particular moment in the first half where he seemed to be playing on skates and almost rugby tackled one of their players near the penalty area.
