Guest Roger Kint
Another Mike Ashley gamble pays off Hope you´re not serious We are down to 2 fit CB and 0 fit LB. We are playing a RB/RM out of position already, you dont think theres been a massive gamble on our paltry defensive cover?

eliassenfredrik
Fucking hell. It had to happen. Now we wait for injuries on Ba and Best. I think laughing is better than crying atm. Yes, quite.
Fenham Mag
Remember Oba getting stretchered off in his first game and it turned out to be a dead leg , we do jump to conclusions at times.

Sifu
The length of time he is out will depend on whether or not they allow it to heal naturally or go for surgery. If they allow it to heal naturally it would be under a month, but as there is a lack of blood flow often surgery is needed (6-8weeks) Pretty much this. Had a quick read up, could just be a small tear and not require surgery, would still swell up if that's the case. Fingers crossed it just swelled a little bit and it's precautionary, from the quotes ('Santon's knee looked a little bit unhealthy after training), it sounded like he completed the training session, and then it swelled up after. Would hazard a guess that a larger tear would stop him from continuing? Perhaps it wasn't that bad #overlyoptimistic I'm hoping this is the case. The Prophet
We only have what Pardew said, sounds precautionary. Don't let that get in the way of a good knee-jerk reaction though lads.
Guest BlacknWhiteArmy
Can't wait for 3 months of Ryan Taylor. I mean, look at his set piece delivery.
Pilko
Another Mike Ashley gamble pays off Eh? Surely it'd be a gamble if we'd never signed this lad in the first place?

Yeah, not usual for Pardew to initially play down injuries and then reveal the truth.

Yeah, not usual for Pardew to initially play down the injuries and then reveal the truth. Alright mate you're right, he's going to be our for fucking months. Better? Not really. If we're "knee-jerking", then we're only knee-jerking at our luck.... not at Pardew or the player, because it would be unlikely that this is their fault. (Well, except for not having a good LB back-up. In truth, we needed 2 LBs when Enrique left.)
Revolution Number 9
I think 'maybe the injury won't be that bad' and then I remember what team I support. Might send him a 'get well in 2013' card now and get it out of the way.

Well the part of the meniscus that was torn has already been removed :http://www.inter.it/aas/news/reader?N=33636&L=en Therefore part of the shock absorbancy in his knee is no longer there, so will be vulnerable to occasionally swell up when his muscles havent been tuned up properly i.e. not having played much football

Guest ToonUltra
Just a post as my previous topi got locked up.... Yeah, this Davide Santon thread is at the top. Maybe a title change wouldn't go a miss then so people can determine certain things on the player? I mean people can't really be chatting about his recent performances. It's nice for the link to actually take you a discussion on that particular subject as opposed to a blanket of chat...? Just my opinion.
