Davide Santon (now retired)

Recommended Posts

James is really starting to annoy me now

Does he bang on this much about Jonas being right footed? Did he think Wenger was a moron for playing Pires on the left wing or have they fucked up Lahm's career? Was Maldini wasted?

Basically, fuck off with this shit melon head!

Just starting?  :kasper:

And on left-back Santon, Pardew delivered further good news with a positive prognosis on his knee problem.

“He’s had fluid taken from his knee and we think, fingers crossed, that will be OK.

“Maybe he’ll be available for next weekend,” he said.

To follow up -

“If that doesn’t cure the problem we think he’ll probably have an operation in there where we just go in and tidy it up. It’s not a cartilage, just a little bit of scar tissue.”

So either way it's better than what was first feared.  Great.

Well it's better news but I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't end up going under the knife again to sort it out once and for all. But at least it's just a case of cleaning up the scar tissue rather than cartilage damage.

If it's not that serious, so he can continue to play after draining fluid and the only concern is further fluid build-ups, then he can just delay the scar tissue operation until an appropriate time.

I was thinking we might try and play him through until January then get a full back in so he can go under the knife then.
