Hit the nail on the head with the quote about Ashley surrounding himself with people who are grateful to him and actually need a job I just wish the supa fans would wake up a realise that Ashley needs us a he'll of a lot more than we need him and boycott vote at end of the article still shows a disturbing 34% support Ashley

This whole "going to be major investment on players on the summer" is fucking annoying. No there won't. And there's a difference between spending to get enough first team players to register a squad (because you've sold off everyone) and spending to strengthen the team to compete you complete mong.

Edit: The mong part was for Anal Oliver, if that was unclear :)

That might be mackems and fans of other clubs chipping in though, to sabotage the vote. There is much ignorance out there with many believing that Ashley has done a good job and that us fans should know our place. How dare we be unhappy? :( :D

Wait a minute. Prioritize the cups OVER the league? Who the fuck has asked for that?

Why do we need a blanket prioritization of one thing over another? So does it mean we'll not try as hard in the league, but dry our damn hardest in the cup? What the fuck is that?

Assemble a squad in a sensible logical way, hire a manager with an actual personality and some footballing knowledge, and try your damn best to win every game you're pencilled in for. Fuck's sake!

How can they even have anything like that view and not be taking the piss?

Utterly pathetic. Who were the journalists?

It's all bluster, why, when the consensus of opinion at the top is that playing in the cups is dangerous to our league position, would he suddenly change his mind when we're not mathematically safe, struggling at the bottom of the table, after dropping out both cups?? Clearly rattled and it's all just pillow talk.

The problem is, like most have said, the ones against the protest and the ones teetering on the edge of a decision will see this as a rod to strike pro-protest with. SEE he does care!

It might not turn out a bad idea to have bought nufc in the long run and plastering his SD company all over the stadium.  Your general customer at SD isn't bothered about the company and what it does.  Fans of a football club care a whole lot more.  Buying NUFC and running it the way he has, has brought him big rewards but will also bring him unwanted attention especailly since everyone involved in the media has realised what he has been upto with NUFC.

I'm really sceptical about how much owning us has benefited SD. I think it's a lot more to do with dominating his competitors and suppliers through purchasing and the downturn in the economy leading to a greater desire for tat. Can't prove anything obviously, just a feeling.

Wonder if it'll be as pitiful as the last investigative programme that basically nobody gave a shit about.

They could show him using minced kittens to stick his tatty shoes together and people would still buy them if it saves them a fiver.

Tbf to Sunday Supplement - there's 2 or 3 of them that are right on point. Shaun Custis derides Ashley every time he's there. Another who seemed to love Mancini, supported the S'land walk out during Palace and said us and them have been fed crap for years and shouldn't sit there and watch.

Even Merson has derided Ashley. Generally we are known as a club with no hope. Nothing to aspire to. Just plodding along.

Always great to see pundits and broadcasters take the fans' side against Ashley but it has to be someone who has a modicum of dignity. Paul Merson is a cretin. The horrendous attempts to get cheap laughs with his inability to prounounce even the simplest of foreign players names gets more cringeworthy every time he does it, the fucking toothless drunk.
