Yep. Ashley might have got caught up in some of the excitement last year, but ultimately his only interest is surviving in the top division. He doesn't give a shit about real progress. Is there any surprise he went to the game on Saturday for the first time in months? Needed to see for himself that relegation was a real possibility, cos it's all he's bothered about. This has been my point when suggesting these were panic buys. Not random or unconsidered, just several months late and everyone knew these were needed in August. He's a strange fucker. 1). He didn't do due diligence so didn't see the terms of the loans we had. 2) He had to keep the club afloat or he would had lost even more after relegation.
