Sensational journalism from an alcoholic who writes his articles in the Beacon pub in Monkseaton about 5 minutes before they need to go in.

No name of the bar, no name of his source, no date. Sensationalised bollocks.

Aye, because he made his name as one of the better journos by libelling the fuck out of Premier League chairmen

We know Llambias is a nasty, speccy bastard, after all he is the prick who was quoted as saying he wanted to punch Keegan because he disagreed with him. He's not a football man, he's a (failed) casino owner. Mort was duplicitous but he recognised how important it was to have the support on your side.

Apart from the Carroll stuff...he's spot on there.

The bit i don't get about all this is what were the toon fans doing while he was ranting? just sat in a circle on the floor listening intently? and i can't imagine no one mentioned the stadium name change while its still so recent

This all has an upside...though probably hard for most others to see right now, granted.

This is the beginning of the end of this era.

A new chapter is about to be written. :snod:

don't hold your breath

:sadnod:

It's not like he walked into Shearers on matchday, stood up on the bar and shouted this out like - there might not have been many Toon fans in there.

Llambias has been seen in the Shark Club after the past few matches. Chances are he was chatting shite and someone recorded him.

I dunno like. Their behaviour over the past week stinks of hubris on such a grand scale that it is rapidly becoming fatal. There's so much that rings true in those two reports (i.e. that you can just imagine Llambias saying that shit) that you know these cunts are absolutely fucking ruthless bastards. It's clear that they've only ever been interested in NUFC as a vehicle to grow the SportsDirect.com brand, any doubt on that was removed this week with the stadium renaming debacle...and those few who have been doubting their profit motive being their sole interest (or more accurately, who have been turning a blind eye because of the winning streak recently) can have no doubt now, surely. The Season Ticket sale was cynical, but ultimately may prove self-defeating when they realise renewals dry up as everyone holds on to see if discounted STs resurface next summer (assuming people don't actually fuck off completely in digust at the stadium renaming, which is far more likely). The media catching on to the fact that Ashley and Llambias are such cretinous twats will make it increasingly difficult for them to hold onto NUFC, they will be forced out, it's just a matter of time now. They have sown the seeds of their own destruction.
