The Prophet
As good as Italy were too many Germans didn't turn up tonight. Boateng, Schweinsteiger, Ozil and Gomes were all particularly poor.

jdckelly
fun fact of the day, last time Ireland were in the Euros (88) the 2 teams who came out of their group got to the final (Holland and the Soviet Union) and that little quirk is repeated this time around

Nobody
Italy were fucking excellent tonight. Germany played well, on another day they could have scored four goals. Best game of the tournament that I've seen.

Thought he was decent.. Agreed, one of the few who looked like he was going to do something. He may not have been great by his high standards but he was better than most in that team. I really don't think Germany played that badly. They obviously never expected to be 2-0 down and didn't know how to coherently get back into it, which resulted in fairly desperate efforts in the 2nd half, but they did have a fairly good go IMO, hardly a spineless effort. I think all the credit tonight has to go to Italy.
