Lush Vlad
Thought he was very good. Not really any controversial calls, he let us be aggressive and kept his cards in his pocket most the game. He didn't seem to be pressured by a Sky 6 team, like a lot of refs are. People will disagree. But I don't find this Liverpool team as offensive in that regard when it comes to hounding the refs and the pressure coming from the players and manager. They were under Klopp, well, it was mainly just Klopp But this lot under Slot seem miles away from peak Arsenal and Man U, or the Chelsea teams under Mourinho, for example. Slot is a very likeable guy. Much like Klopp was at the very start, really. By proxy, Liverpool are less detestable.
Groundhog63
Dodged a bullet with the handball based only on the facts I've seen them given AND it was against Liverpool. I don't think the Bruno "interfering" for Isak's goal should've been disallowed either, though. Having said that I'm convinced that goal being disallowed gave them a lift BUT because Isak, promptly, scored straight away the deflation ruined them even more. If you get me drift. Superior Acuña
Aside from my total hatred of VAR, this referee announcement thing is total shit. It just makes the whole thing take even more time and more unclear. We don't need to know the details in the ground, we just need to know the outcome. Referee makes the hand symbol and you knew goal or not, normally also aided by a big screen. With that Liverpool goal it wasn't clear til he'd also spoken, and even then, I wasn't sure if he said onside or offisde. I was only totally clear by the Liverpool players celebrating, which was also delayed by them being similarly unclear. To us it sounded like he'd said something like "Foul on Joelinton" but then he gave the goal anyway, was surreal

(btw so glad our goals were free of all that nonsense) Edited March 18 by Superior Acuña
Yorkie
Literally can't believe they're going with this announcement shit. Really doubling down on the misery of the whole thing.

AyeDubbleYoo
I'm in favour of the announcements if they could be done properly. But since it's football they'll be managed terribly

It works in NFL but the refs come across as confident and authoritative. The ref sounded like he was doing public speaking for the first time. Even the players were confused. Look on VVDs face is pure confusion when you watch the highlights.

John P
Was the same in the second leg against Arsenal for the Isak offside goal. I couldn't even hear the announcement in the stadium, was only when I spoke to someone the next day who mentioned the announcement that I had any idea it had actually happened
