Ikon
Dyer vs Raylor? Kill me. Got a feeling that he'll start Smith, somehow, kill me again.
wormy
I'm hopeful that we'll see a pretty much full strength team for the WBA game then.
stozo
A nice little tidbit on why playing Perch and and Simpson might not be so disastrous tomorrow. Newcastle were without first-choice centre-back duo Steven Taylor and Fabricio Coloccini in their defeat against Norwich last weekend, and Paul Lambert managed to successfully exploit their aerial weakness at the back. Grant Holt and Steve Morison started upfront, Norwich pumped long balls their way, and all four goals came from crosses or set-pieces. With James Perch and Danny Simpson likely to continue at the back this weekend, Alan Pardew will be relieved that he’s facing the least dangerous aerial side in the league. Swansea only win 5.2 aerial duels per match – no other side wins fewer than 8.2. In fact, Newcastle won a higher percentage of their aerial battles than Swansea in their respective matches last weekend – both competed 13 times in the air, Newcastle won nine and Swansea only four. Both sides might benefit from keeping the ball on the floor this weekend, however. http://fourfourtwo.com/blogs/statszone/archive/2011/12/16/liverpool-defend-smart-newcastle-face-different-challenge-amp-rio-fills-vidic-void.aspx

thenige
Any chance of the snow being bad enough for this to be off? Unlikely I know, but being based South I have no idea how bad it is up there.

Unlikely, there was a bit of snow this morning but it hasn't settled (unless there's a massive blizzard due tonight). EDIT: ah just seen that the forecast is no snow for tonight. Consortium of one
Clever movement will catch them out too, though. And they aren't very physical either. I don't think Swansea has the beef to take advantage of the lightweight pair, though.
Groo
Dyer was dropped to the bench last game and Routledge played, Routledge also played in the place of Sinclair recently too. Dyers not been at his best last few games, some think its because the usual right back Angel Rangel is out injured, Dyer and Rangel play well together and the replacement, Jazz Richards a youngster, who's improving each game, but is not the attacking player that Rangel is. Routledge has played well when called upon and if he plays will be through the fact he's earned it with his performances. Still not scored though. Ikon
God i wish that Pardew started Ben Arfa instead of Obertan.
Pilko
If Obertan retains his place ahead of Ben Arfa then Pardew wants shooting, regardless of the result. It's not fair whatsoever to keep that bulbous headed cunt in the side when he delivers absolutely fuck all positive every single week (Stoke excepted). Proper shit how Ben Arfa has one bad game and is immediately pushed to unused sub, whereas Obertan has one good game in about ten and is an automatic starter. Sifu
Sky Sports did hint that Obertan might be dropped with Sammy coming in.......
Jayson
Away from home theyve conceded 4 to blackburn, 3 to Norwich, 2 to wolves Yet just 1 unluckily to arsenal & 0 to liverpool. Hopefully they come into this game thinking they can win it rather than going defensive.
Ketsbaia
If Obertan gets dropped, you don't want Sammy to be the replacement. Then again, when you're losing to Norwich you don't bring Sammy on instead of Ben Arfa....
