So, with Tiote looking likely to be on the bench at best tomorrow, it's a choice between Mehdi Abeid, Haris Vučkić and Alan Smith for that central midfield spot alongside Cabaye.

Please Pardew. Please don't give it to Smith. We have two incredibly exciting young players there. Abeid is the more defensive option - he never stops running, but brings plenty of flair too. Vuckic is the attacking option, with his vision, trickery and power.

Smith is the suicidal option, with his lack of pace, inability to pass and tendency to foul players unremittingly

If we don't win today it's going to start getting a bit tricky.

A loss today and we could find ourselves in awful trouble over the Xmas period. But shur, what's new about that?

Winning is a habit and losing quickly becomes one if not checked. When you're winning  a lot of little things go for you on the pitch and all that breeds confidence. We really need to win this one and settle down again.

Definitely Pardew's biggest test is this difficult period where he has to get the players who are available to mirror the football and the results achieved by the full-strength team. If we get maximum points from Swansea and WBA, I'll start truly believing we can achieve that top 7 finish.

I hope to God Smith doesn't play, Swansea's mobility in the center of the park will run him ragged, could see him getting sent off, especially being ring rusty. Hopefully Abeid will play looks a good prospect.
