NUFC transfer rumours in the press

is gary hooper still a remote possibility?  I've been setting up fake blogs and submitting bogus stories in the hopes of engineering this move on a grass roots level but I think it's just been wasted effort

Surprised we're in for another CM tbh (if it's all true). Another indicator that the Anita signing was a bit of a balls-up? I'm being presumptuous, obviously. Just, like i say, surprised we're after another one. I know we sign bargains cos they're bargains, but i'd have expected Ashley to be the type of frugal chairman to limit signings per position. We've got shitloads of CMs on the books, like.

Sissoko in, Gosling out.

Would be nice  as for Anita it is a bit strange but he's not playing at the moment anyway and Sissoko would more likely play instead of Jonas if we were to go for a midfield 3.

I get the feeling Anita was seen as Tiote's long term replacement and the management did not expect Bigi to improve this quickly.

2/3 from Cabaye, Tiote, Anita and Sissoko would be jizz inducing. That's a squad, all be it only in midfield. CB, RB and striker in the next 2 transfer windows in addition would leave us in good shape.

No outgoings obviously. Which is more important, obviously.

I'd say we are desperate for a winger

Not as desperate as we are for an RB, CB or ST imo.

Aye although it depends on the system 4-4-2 would mean a winger and 4-3-3 would mean a wide forward.

I still don't know why we didn't go for Mirallas.

 he's a solid defender mind but he's far too old.

6 months older than Colo.

A source close to Sissoko told the Chronicle: “Moussa has had a chat with Yohan about the Premier League and what it’s like at Newcastle.

“Yohan loves it at St James’ Park, so understandably he gave him a glowing report.

“They are both good friends so Moussa values what Yohan had to say.”
