NUFC transfer rumours in the press

Recommended Posts

I wouldn't care myself an expert

But he has enough pace off the ball to make runs off defenders to be a threat, on the ball he isn't particularly quick no.

Its not that so much though; i just think we are desperate for a target who can hold the ball up, force defenders back, link play with those around him.

Obviously goals too, but all our targets can provide that so its not here nor there.

Assuming we got Remy, I'd rather Gomis come in than Bent. Probably wouldn't matter either way, but Gomis can give us something else  while Bent is practically the same as Cisse. Would be nice to have 3/4 attacking options all with their own styles.

People really don't have a problem with signing Remy? Even if you ignore the pending Rape Case (which should completely rule out this signing) this is still a guy who publicly turned us down for QPR only a few months ago. I'd rather have someone else.

Gomis is not especially quick. More about his strength and off the ball movement.

I never said he was especially quick, more that his pace won't be an issue.... he can move quite well for a big guy and isn't slow at all.

Can move at more than a decent pace once he gets going.

I was referring to a comparison with Bent, but anyway yeah it is more about his movement.

There's usually no target in the first place, let alone a 'someone else' mate.

That's what makes it even more annoying. Having to talk ourselves into this guy when we should have plenty of other targets out there.

Remy - Cisse - Benny would be class.

Yeah. I don't really see where Gomis fits in if Cisse stays.

4-4-2.

If only.

I reckon Remy, Gomis and Cisse for the two forward spots. Nowt wrong with a bit of competition.

I personally don't think we have enough out and out wingers for a flat 442, but there is a lot of options with our squad and Remy + Gomis.

Having enough out and out wingers is not going to bother Pardew, it'll be Jonas (why oh why) left and Ben Arfa right.

Hope we go 4-3-3 myself.

People still wistfully looking at sides that include Tiote? I don't get it.

Neither does Pardew Ron, he plays him every game if he's fit. Can't see it changing while either are still here.
