What did Sky Sports News do when there wasn't a transfer window?  :undecided:

Probably done this bullshit in a condensed version a couple of times every week.

Theres always been a deadline day of sorts though in their time. The current one since 2002? Not sure but before it was a March deadline wasnt it? Obviously since the days of mega money Chelsea spending then City that has pushed SSN off the charts with this overhyped shite.

Wasn't too sure how long SSN had been around for, but it does seem to have really stepped up and become a 'monster' over the last decade.

Actually iirc Woodgate was our first proper DD transfer. God was that 10 years ago??

Aye it is another point. They were probably still quite respectable as a sports news source back when the transfer window came into effect. Or am I giving them too much credit? Never knew of it until I got Sky about 8 or 9 years ago. Can't believe it's been going since '98.

98? Bloody hell thought it was more 2001/02 not that long ago.

Meanwhile, the Daily Mail are carrying a story suggesting that striker Emmanuel Adebayor is set to seal a permanent deal at Tottenham. The fee for the Manchester City striker? £8m.

No way are Man City that stupid, are they? Also, don't think Adebayor would fit even remotely in Spurs wage structure..

I wouldn't pay 10 bob for Vertonghen never mind 10m. Ajax defence is a farce.

:snod:

Feyenoord 4 - 2 @j@x

:celb1:

That's more to do with the fact that Vertonghen has got no one half decent partnering him than anything else. Van Der Wiel is constantly injured too. If those two go in summer they're in trouble.
