Mole_Toonfan
Because he actually participates in the build up unlike Bent and that touch and pass to Gouffran for our 2nd goal last week is something Bent is not capable of. He was good in the first half when we actually played quite close to him, he struggled when there was a massive gap between him and the rest. ( unsurprisingly)
Unbelievable
He is not similar to Darren Bent. How is he not? His game is all about getting in behind the defence, movement off the ball and pure finishing with head or feet. Also, like Bent, he seems effective only when played as a lone striker. I don't think they're all that similar, but there certainly are comparisons to be made.

( unsurprisingly) So would it be fair to see he's not an ideal striker in a 451 where we're up against stronger opposition and expecting to be under the cosh quite a bit, seeing as he doesn't seem to be the type of forward who is capable of creating something on his own at all? Wullie
Like Bent could have sent Gouffran clear last week with that wonderful piece of link up play. How embarrassing to see our own supporters making that comparison.

Shays Given Tim Flowers
He should've scored against Chelsea last week. Not a lot on offer for him today.

I would agree with that which is why i now agree some quality competition would be nice. I do find these Bent comparisons a bit sickening though. How embarrassing to see our own supporters making that comparison. If you can't see certain similarities because one is capable of something the other (arguably) isn't, then God help you. Nobody is arguing they're one and the same person FFS

Playing as the 1 in a 4-5-1 against good opposition is more about working very hard for the team than creating something from nothing.
Unbelievable
People are acting like Darren Bent is a league one plodder. He's scored over a goal in two and a half for most of his Premiership career..
hoppaz
Worked hard and his hold up play was a lot better today which is the biggest weakness IMO. The isloation he has seen in the past could be helped by doing what he did today and chest, look for throw ins and corners as well as laying it off when under control to bring others in to the game. If he's only held his run for that split second when he went to early and the score could be so much different.

juniatmoko
he is no where near ba ability in term of movement & general link up play. basically if he keep missing his chance he is rubbish. that header should go in or hit target at least. Mole_Toonfan
That header was awful today, can't believe anyone is defending it That was a difficult header to pull off, it wasn't easy at all if he did score it we would all being raving how fantastic a header it was. Fine margins.....
Guest TCD23
Had an average match today. Dembele blocking off Sissoko lessened the feed to Cisse. He'll bounce back
sugoinufc
What do people want him to do? He is a limited player but such a letal man to have in the box. He should only be in box, help defending and used simply as a targetman. With arfa back he will be better...Jonas does not help him. I Think cisse is really good...a limited player - yes. But with other attacking options and better/more delivery he will be very good!
Guest Howaythetoon
He is better than Bent but they are very similar types of striker, both have limited games, only Cisse has less of a limited game.

Tooj
This wouldn't even be up for debate if our manager knew how to orchestrate an attacking game plan that gives Cisse the service that he needs.

Conversely, the attacking game plan wouldn't even be up for debate if Cisse took the chances that fall to him week in week out, like he did last season.
