Aye, Cabaye a starter in the French team, didn't look out of place last night supporting Benzema, Ribery et al in attack.  Overrated s**** though who couldn't get anywhere near Man United's team in what is by far their weakest position

'Prior to this season when was the last time they had finished above us?

I love that, the secret weapon that the mackems bring out. No mention the fact they were only just above us twice and the other time we were in another division. Such dominance.

It is classic. What they fail to recognise is how much we have overtook them. Sure they got Coldplay & The Boss playing at SOL in the summer but we got BA, HBA, Cabs, Colo, Krul, Cisse & the gang playing for NUFC.

The Boss played SJP when he was young and in his prime.

Typical of Sunderlands recruitment policy they want the knacker now.

Yeh thats true, but we dont need to overtake them as they have never been in front. Even in the seasons they mention, the first one we were the crisis club of world football, a laughing stock, and they just to say survived whilst we went down. Yet they have that down as success? The post match interview with Quinn and Sabragia was cringeworthy.

The second when we were down they finished 14th I think? They had to chance then to stamp some sort of authority on the region but as ever, failed. The third season in this ever impressive display of dominance was down to us throwing away a 3 goal lead on the last day. To claim bragging rights from such feeble achievments is embarrasing but wholly predictable.

If we get a quality full back and a good back up CB in January, we can finish 4th-7th, no doubt.

The question is, when will the wall pushers and Arsenal start picking up?  The top three is a closed shop, with the murderers, Arsenal and Spurs forming the next three.

But there is a huge gap between Arsenal (6th) and Everton/Villa (8-9th).  We should comfortably fill that gap.

Speechless.

So lets get this right.

You have a better defence.

You have a better midfield.

You have better forwards.

Amazing, simply amazing how you continually conspire to finish below us year after year.

Lets get one thing very, very clear,Newcastle do not have a forward anywhere near the class of Gyan and I mean not even close.

What an absolute mentalist.

Might as well post this cracker as well:

Out of his depth :yao:

He's no Craig Gardner, man.

Gardner 1-0 Cabaye.

Is Gardner better than Cabaye yes or no?

Gardner will score more goals than Cabaye. Goals win football games.

As if that statement wasn't hilarious on its own anyway, it still ended up:

Craig Gardner goals (all competitions) 2011/2012 - 3

Yohan Cabaye Premier League goals 2011/2012 - 4

Thing is though, i always keep my mouth shut when Sunderland sign a player. Not because i believe they will be any good but because i wouldn't want to look like a complete tool if i was wrong. Queerside is a moron, they are not all like that in scumsville but RTG seems to be a haven for the biggest inbreds.

Lets, get one thing clear, newcastle, might not have,a player or striker as good, as gyan, but they do have two strikers, that have scored 29 goals between them, in the premier league and not, in some random arab league, as they cant bare the club they are, contracted to

Sima, please go on RTG and show those quotes to Wireside. PLEASE

No point man, I had him agreeing that Sibierski was better than "Sess" a few months back based on his "logic".

Being a dorty southerner and all, im confused. Because youve changed your seating allocation for away fans, fans will lose police protection on one of the biggest derby days in English football? ???

Yep, that is correct.

It was very, very easy for Northumbria's finest to police from St Peters to the South Stand, it is the closest stand to any metro station. Now you are in the North Stand Upper and is a logistical nightmare from any metro station. If they still bring you from St Peters, you will get picked off all over the place having to walk past the east stand. If they bring you via Stadium of Light metro station, which is probably closer, you will have to pass the Colliery Tavern boozer. To my knowledge, their is no route which will put you out of reach of Sunderland fans picking you off.

Individually I've known some decent Sunderland lads but when it comes to derby day (especially the away game) I have to accept that as a mob, I hate the horrible twats.

Other teams just tend to annoy me. Liverpool for Dalglish, the media love in and our appalling record at Anfield stands out. Stoke have nothing positive about them either.

The rest I'm pretty much fine with these days. Never really understood this boards hatred of Spurs. I always think they've been decent to watch and their fans behave themselves when they come to Newcastle.

:snod:

I look forward to your next visit to the SOL in your new away end and your journey from the metro station. Your days of police protection from Northumbria Police are officially over.

So lets get something straight here.

A player who could barely fetch £5m is suddenly worth ££££££££££ on the back of about 4 starts for Newcastle.

You've got to love the mindset of Newcastle fans.

Unbelievable.

Awful, awful game. Both teams had very little about them.

The way their fans celebrated each goal was something to behold, you'd think they'd won the Premier League the way they were going on. It actually reminded me of that pic that we often like to refer to.

You forget to mention our centre forward raping your two centre halfs all game long, he should have had five.

Nobody rewrites history quite like Newcastle supporters.
