You'd think they'd have just about done this one to death by now but no, they still manage at least 2 threads per week on the subject.

Are any set of fans anywhere in the world as obsessed with their neighbours superior support ?

Even though stalwart mackem business tycoon and Sunderland FC chairman Tom Cowie told them 30 years ago that Newcastle have better fans they just don't geddit do they ?

At least no mention of most of their catchment area being the North Sea or having a higher ratio of dead fans on this particular thread. Well not yet anyway.

tbh, I rip them as much as possible . but they do actually get good crowds for what/ who they are. they get the best crowds of any of the clubs id put them on par with.

Theres no argument in FACT our crowds are bigger but I dont put the Club on par with us. its this they cant accept so it just goes round and round, and round and round.

I popped along to the jerbs fare at SJP today, in the Bambrough Suite.  I noticed a couple of mackems wearing their Invest in Africa shirts...I walked past one and he was singing the Steven Taylor song to himself  :lol:

Aye despite their crowds being on a downward trend and them having to drag in 12,000 plastics by any means possible to fill the place for our visit each year, I have to say that to get 35-40,000 to regularly watch the dross they pass off as football is quite an achievement. Credit where due.

Best bit on that attendances thread was;

They wouldn't get anywhere near the crowds they get if they didn't have the luxury of the best transport links that you could wish to have. The fuckers have at least 6 additional matchday bus services available courtesy of go north east after home games.

Might be a woosh, but you can only really measure the support of a team when the whole infrastructure is shit! We should be less organised like Sunderland, salt of the earth and all that...

I can't recall a player who exuded a more obtuse impression of themselves than McClean. Perhaps Wayne Rooney when he was very young. Actually, no. It's McClean all the way.

I think McClean needs a manager who's going to coach him some new techniques and add a few strings to his bow.  At the moment, although his technique is ok, he seems very one dimensional.  Whether or not Artie is that manager I don't know......

‘The agents are all at the business end, but I think he would rather hear from one of his mates, to be honest. We speak honestly to each other. If he’s crap, I’ll tell him he’s crap.’

So on a regular basis then?

While McClean’s impact at Sunderland has been impressive, his tweet about Ireland’s poor display in Kazakhstan and receiving death treats have made the Premier League club worry.

I must get myself some death treats.  I bet they taste good, but they'll probably be the end of me.
