Very mixed reaction to the suggestion a few months ago

Sure a few in that thread will have changed their tune.  I see our old friend Randy Savage agrees that he's a "fool and a rabid self-publicist." and "No self-respecting club should entertain him"

Be interesting to watch the about face...

Lots of them slagging him off here as well

Is the deal on yet?

I don't like this though, he's inexperienced at this level but has a huge charisma and he's got the fire to kick them up the arse, it might be what the mackems need at this point, especially in the derby game.

I would have prefered the likes of Hughes, Courbishley or McClaren (who'd have been great  ).

Did this even happen or are Mackems re-writing history again to suit their agenda?

Racist, fascist or a shit manager with no experience and tendency to go off it, couldn't give a fuck marra as long as he hates Parjew as much as me.

He will be persecuting Parjew at the first opportunity.

Had a couple of pints with a few Sunderland season ticket holders today are they've bang up for Di Canio. They're not sure how good a manager he is but they reckon the whole place needs lifting and the doom and gloom of O'Neill needs shifting.

It is a great institution that does a huge amount for the North East and I wish the team very well over the next vital seven games. However, in the light of the new manager’s past political statements, I think it right to step down.”
