Sunderland issue a statement

The press and other media want to ask a few questions

The bottom of the statement "Neither Sunderland AFC, nor Paolo Di Canio, will make any further comment on this matter."

HA!

I've really tried, but I just cannot make heads nor tails of that Di Canio statement.  At what point in that jumble of words does he refute the allegations made?

Would like him to get a Newsnight interview with Paxman to clear things up.

He doesn't, he just wants people to stop giving him grief for it.

I see they didn't mention anything about Miliband quitting in their statement.

I think that Byrne woman had a dig at him when taking about political statements

Good point.

This is the gift that keeps on giving

Although, back to football, I don't see what he offers. It's a mix of Ince going to Blackburn and Keane going to Sunderland. Both of those ended badly.

You can't polish the turd that is Sunderland's squad.
