If we get Partizan... :scared:

Quite excited by tomorrow! I'll be in work though so I'm going to have to keep a close eye on this thread.

Ah sure Partizan?  :yao: my feckin local team, Shamrock Rovers, knocked them out of the competition last season. I know they have improved since then, but still, we should take em down.

Definitely one of our bogey teams though. I don't like omens.

Wouldn't want to take any chances tbh.

Because I live in Finland, I'd love if we start at home against HJK. Starting in Helsinki would be horrible, because I'll be in Spain at the time of the first leg and would miss the once in a lifetime chance to see Toon in Finland.

BTW, has anyone living outside the UK bought tickets to away games? Does the box office mail these ticket abroad? I'd love to go to some European away match, but I can't travel from Finland to Newcastle just to pick up tickets.

I enquired about that when we played in Tallinn and they would've sent them over. Ended up buying the tickets to the away end from the gate.

I can confirm that the box office will send them to the away end if you ask for them to. Obviously for European games I assume you'll have to do it well in advance.

Also, not everybody at the box office knows that they can do that so if they say they can't make sure to pester them until they find someone who knows how to.

I was in that game also. We bought tickets for the home stand, but stewards were kind enough to let us go to away end at HT.

On topic: Any idea when the draw groups are made public?

Will become all the more real today when we have a draw.

Reading that got me slightly excited with a few goosebumps down the spine

Does anyone know who the big dangers are in the draw? Probably a giggs and already been mentioned previously in this thread but can't be bothered to trawl through it.

:fwap: dorf, always been on my list of places to visit before I die.

Demolished in 2001, never mind then.

Well, still called Wankdorf by fans (or do we call SJP the SDA  :tickedoff:)

And inside the stadium is the new Wankdorf center btw ;D

Argh, the demolition, they kind of f***ed it up, one pillar didn’t explode :D haha 3 went down

2001-2005 YB played in the Neufeld “Stadium”, old small stadium (10'000), most of it standing area :D. Cheap entry and really good atmosphere

Since 2005 we got this beauty (capacity around 31'120, New Wankdorf, including standing area):

And a short video, its a celebration after a victory, player and manager staff are sitting in front of the home sector (Standing area), the fans are sitting as well and chanting:

We love you, we love you, we love you!

And where you play we follow, we follow, we follow!

Cause we support the Young Boys, the Young Boys, the Young Boys, and that's the way we like it, we like it, we like it!

Afterwards the fans and the players stand up and dance / celebrate, funn as hell, sample video:

And me favourite away choreo:

Hope it's an interesting read for you lads O0

It's near or above the shopping mall? I've played curling near it a couple times. Behind the big halls where they have some wine fest always at the same time.

Aye, above the shopping mall “Wankdorf Center”, well the mall has two floors, on the first floor is also the YB Pub called “Walters”, the big shopping mall is on the second floor which is underground.

The Curling arena is on the Expo Area next to the stadium, furthermore the Stadium Allmend of the local Ice hockey club SC Bern and a few big buildings are located there. It’s always something going on at the Expo like wine fests, exhibition, concerts, congresses etc.

You played curling in Bern? How’s that? You’re in the English national team or what  :laugh2:

Ahh Friday morning after a EL match, still a dizzy head, bloody hangover, tired, got just a few hours of sleep and a day full of work is awaiting, which I will ignore of course. And YB won! 3 - 0 victory vs. kalmar, what a game and yb is in the play offs as well,  lads EL awaits !!!  :frantic: :frantic:  :Jonny2J:
