Guest Loven11
Takeover agreed with London-based consortium. Is this Shepherd's group or someone else? Someone else. Former Sheffield United chief executive Charles Green has agreed a deal to buy Scottish Premier League side Rangers.
Guest
Can he not just do what he normally did and stick in an extra 10% of what it should cost?

Guest
Welcome back Freddy Shepherd. Bid for Owen? He's coming home, He's coming. Boumsong's coming home. Wonder if Souness will get a role in some capacity?
Varadi
New owner is former Sheffield United chief exec Charles Green. Means their last two owners have been Green and Whyte - nice touch. (shamelessly nicked from Twitter )
mrmojorisin75
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18049325 "Kennedy said he had spent three hours at Rangers owner Craig Whyte's castle discussing the crisis at the club and that Whyte had agreed to transfer his 85% shareholding to him." can't imagine how it all went wrong, fucking castle
Belfast Boy
New owner is former Sheffield United chief exec Charles Green. Means their last two owners have been Green and Whyte - nice touch. (shamelessly nicked from Twitter ) I wonder what the odds are on David Gold selling West Ham and being the next owner?
James
It gets worse, Paul Stretford is in the consortium, as is Kenneth Shepherd. Graeme Souness was also offered a role but unlikely to take it up.

ross magoo
Apparently they've lost their appeal. Tbh they never really appealed much to me in the first place.
Matt
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18108973 So, Rangers fans are going to boycott away games next season (this assuming they still exist)- i thought the reason the SPL should keep them is becauuse of the oh-so-important away followings they take to other grounds. Well, if that's gone then it makes the decision of the other SPL clubs a lot easier!

Stifler
So it's ok to shop with them when they are pushing out all competition, when they are sending suppliers out of business because of refusing to pay a fair price, when they sell items from a company which has banned their products from being sold in their stores because they only just survived after they pulled out of their contract, it's ok to shop with them when they have mold up the back of their fridges in their stores, it's ok to shop with them when they suddenly force people who are about to retire to work another year before they can receive their pensions. But when they do one good thing and sponsor grassroots football then that is where they draw the line?
