Mole_Toonfan
Simply tragic things like this remind me of the likes of Antonio Puerta who could be likely playing for Spain if he was still alive All my condolences to his friends and family. Guest bimpy474
This is becoming far too common. Not compared to something like Squash, which causes very high rates of Heart attacks in men.

Guest Roy the Irish Magpie
shocking horriblr stuff, RIP. This is a disease 1 in 10 ppl have and is brought on by excessive excersise/pressure on the heart. So this means that lots of other footballers could be risking their lives every week and, unless they get costly scans, they wouldn't have a single clue about it. Really is worring. Rip. chicago_shearer
Is there no way for the fitness doctors to screen for this or is it totally random?
MW
Could it not just be due to stress and things like that, and to put it simply, the law of averages means that it could happen to the odd footballer? Im sure that lawyers, bankers etc all over have heart attacks. Unfortunately for footballers it happens in front of thousands of people so gets highlighted a lot more.
