Gutted about leaving Bergkamp out like, as he's definitely the most technically gifted player in Premier League history.

He was a better player than Cantona too, just Cantona had that aura about him which is why he more often than not gets more plaudits.

I voted 5-0, Shearer, Shearer, Given and then Team - Schmeichel, G. Neville, Adams, Ferdinand, Cole, Cronaldo, Scholes, Keane, Giggs, Shearer, Henry

I'd personally do a 4-3-3 and have Makelele playing the DCM with Scholes & Gerrard ahead of him with Shearer the middle of the 3 forwards with Henry and Ronaldo wide.

Schmeichel - Jones, Adams, Ferdinand, Evra - Ronaldo, Gerrard, Keane, Kewell - Rooney, Shearer

I'd forgotten all about Rob Jones - he was a class attacking full back.

Disappointed but not surprised at the absence of Krul's save v Wolves this season.

Kewell?

Didn't have a long career at the very top, so something of a forgotten man. But before he developed injury problems, he was outstanding. Actually not the most difficult choice for me.

He should have featured in the goals category as well. I can remember him scoring with a shot from about 35 yards, right over by the left touchline, into the opposite top corner of the goal. And no fluke.

Utterly shambolic that Moyes and Redknapp are both in the managerial category yet Keegan isn't.

Keegan took a newly promoted team to within 1 game of winning the title, all in the space of 3 seasons. An utterly astonishing feet. All whilst playing some of the best football ever seen in this country.

I pity the poor soul at PL HQ ho will be opening the deluge of crayon hand scrawled scraps of paper from Albania on Wear asking where the 'Catts for me' option is on the team vote.

Seriously though, no Keegan and no Beardsley as well.  :kasper:

Pedro would have been one of my picks.

The reality is there should only be three candidates and one winner.

Credit where it's due with Moyes though. Considering all of Everton's problems and their limited resources, he's done a brilliant job. And consistently.

Veteran midfielder Giggs won the best player award after beating off a host of top names, including Dennis Bergkamp, Roy Keane and Thierry Henry.

The Welshman has made 909 appearances for United and is the most decorated player in the English game.

Former Blackburn and Newcastle striker Alan Shearer scooped the award for most goals in the Premier League after netting 260 goals.

Shearer netted 112 goals for Blackburn and 148 for hometown club Newcastle.

David James won the award for the most clean sheets with 173 shut-outs in the Premier League at the 20 seasons awards.

The former England goalkeeper represented Liverpool, Aston Villa, West Ham, Manchester City and Portsmouth during his time in the Premier League.

Manchester United dominated the Premier League fantasy teams, with six of Sir Alex Ferguson's sides over the years making the public XI, while seven Red Devils made the cut in the expert choice.

Not sure how Gerrard got in ahead of Keane/Vieira. Fans one like.

The only non PL winner in that group as well. Keane should be a given in any best of PL teams even if I hate the cunt.

Shame that because there are more Manchester United fans worldwide they dominate on the public vote system. Pretty sure the Man City v QPR game would probably be classed as the best match in the past 20 years aswell, considering the fact the United City was voted the best.
