Sifu
He does have his moments granted and his (surprising) lack of pace does hinder him but I still rate him more highly than Simpson. Still early to judge him properly, this season is a big one for him, he needs to consistently have performances like Villa week in, week out.
AlanSkÃrare
Simpson was a main reason for hoof ball, he could handle it, pick a pass, dribble past anyone or cross it. In possession, he was and is useless. He's defensively fine though. Not THE main. A instigator of hoofs though. Pardew is fucking shit if that's what you're asking. Tiotes Witch Doctor
So far I've seen the same I saw from Simpson, absolute shite but for very different reasons all amounting to the fact that they aren't good enough to be premier league fullbacks. Alberto2005
Still think he can be good, just not under Pardew.

Sums it up pretty well , i think Debuchy has more chance if he settled but the signs are not good at all.

I think Debuchy's good enough, but he needs to be more disciplined. A less confused manager could definitely help.

oldtype
I've seen the "starts out shit but comes good, guess who wins again" story way too many times at this point to write him off. Do wish we had competition in that position though.

Guest neesy111
Agree with the Inochi on this, Debuchy's performances are well beyond the manager.
BrettNUFC
I've reserved my judgement on this lad in hope he would come good but starting to think that regardless if he plays for France or not, he's simply not good enough, maybe it's league, maybe it's his ability, i don't know. This a 6 million upgrade on Simpson, i know i've said this before but so far he isn't showing anywhere near his worth and my biggest grief with him is that he plays that fucking Simpson esque cross/aimless pass into the box, time and time again and it's infuriating. Kanj
Personally, I wish Santon would look comfortable playing RB and we could get Dummett developing into our starting LB.
Mole_Toonfan
It would definitely help him if we had a manager who was able to play a way where we are on the front foot a lot of the time. When i saw him at Lille and for France i was very impressed with him when the team was in possession and going forward and thus got excited when we were linked. He never had to do the amount of defending he does now so i wasn't aware he was this shit defensively, but with all that said he'd still be an accident waiting to happen as he's defence is going to be crap no matter the manager. The College Dropout
He doesn't even look particularly impressive going forward. I'd rather he stayed at home unless we where chasing a game.

Tbf i think that's better for the team as a whole.... i have come to the realisation that we are a much better team when there is more space to exploit and teams come at us than we are asked to break the opposition down. For this reason and call me crazy i'm confident for the Everton game.
Teasy
Haven't given up on Debuchy yet. I'll reserve final judgment until the end of this season assuming he gets a consistent run in the side. As far as Danny Simpson, still glad he's not playing for us. Stuy_O
It's his motivation. If he only came here as he missed his mate, then it's showing. When Cabaye is in a mood then likely Debuchy will be. Pretty pathetic really. He just needs to knuckle down and start becoming a premiership player. The College Dropout
I never thought Simpson was as bad as others used to make out.
healthyaddiction
I haven't written Debuchy off but when players under perform they need to be dropped. In the league cup i'd go with mostly the same team as against Hull Except with Dummett in for Debuchy (and Santon swapping sides), Gouffran in for Cisse and Marveux or Vuckic in for Cabaye (i'd prefer Marveux but I don't think Pardew seems him there at all). Then these players know that they are playing for these positions. A good game against Leeds can get them a start against Everton.
Memphis
http://s16.postimg.org/nsniotr85/hull.jpg That says it all really. Clearly the plan was to target Debuchy in particular (and the combination of HBA/Debuchy as well) and it worked a treat. The bulk of Hull's attack came from their left for a very good reason. Whether the answer is Santon on the right and Dummett on the left, or MYM on the right and Steven Taylor back in the middle - I don't know. But Debuchy needs to have pressure applied to his starting place; he's just not been good enough, no matter his reputation before arriving here. The College Dropout
We don't play on the front foot enough to have an attacking RB with HBA loosely infront.
AyeDubbleYoo
I imagine opponents target the right much more because of HBA than because of Debuchy mind.
